St Peter's Walking Club

The walking club usually meets at the Church Centre once a month on a Tuesday morning at 9:30 am. Our walks are gentle and within the capability of most people.

Since last February the walking group has completed nine walks,  The most recent walk at Wetwang finished with an enjoyable stop at the village's renowned Fish and Chip Shop.

With the exception of Wetwang the walks have been relatively local and not more than five miles in length.  This suits a 9.30am start for a lunchtime finish.  However many of the interesting walks in the East Riding require longer travelling time and earlier starts may be necessary.

Millington Woods, Flamborough,Wharram Percy, and Huggate are just a few of the areas with outstanding scenery but need an earlier start perhaps as early as 9.00am.  Some of those walks would be in areas suitable for taking packed lunches.

We hope to draw up a list of walks for next year including, hopefully, more evening walks and we would be pleased to recieve any suggestions you may have.

You are very welcome to join us, for the next walk please look at the Calendar section of the home page.
